I have tried most of them, like you, but currently, here are the most effective (and safest) I’ve used in the following categories:

In my opinion, they are all correct, but Instato.io is currently the best option on the market. Instato.io not only offers the broadest range of features compared to its competitors.
You can automate posts, comments, subscriptions, DMs and likes. But they also have the best UX that helps you automate your bot speedy and straightforward way.
In my experience, choosing an easy-to-use automation service makes the most significant difference.
Especially for those who are automating a bot for the first time, so if you’ve just started, Instato.io is a good first bet.
You feel overwhelmed by the amount of information and skills needed to install a bot; I recommend you try Social Sensei.
Starting at $45 a month, they are a bit more expensive than “do-it-yourself” services like Instato.io, but the results are generally more important than the price difference.
They manage each step of the automation process for you by setting your audience goals and engagement guidelines and optimizing them over time.
You recruit trained professionals to handle the process, so you do not have to.
What’s important here is that you know very clearly which hashtags and accounts are most effective with your target audience.
So they get the best results for you.
In the past, I have seen them get at least 500 new followers per month for accounts that have very demanding content and who know their audience.
They also have a customer service number that you can call, which allows you to talk to a human being who can help you. It is rare in this sector.
Do not automate Comments and/or Subscriptions
Comment on Instagram is a positive interaction only when it is relevant and related to the content of the photo.
A Bot for Instagram interacts with hundreds of photos each day. Hence, it’s impossible to program a bot that creates contextually relevant comments for every image it finds.
Instead of avoiding the automation of comments, pushy marketers prefer to ignore the fact to create unpleasant interactions.
While programming their bots to comment using generic and vague expressions such as “great photo” or “Keep going” to try to get someone’s attention.
In the same vein, subscribing to someone on Instagram is only positive if that action is perceived as sincere by the person you follow.
Since a bot interacts with hundreds of accounts each day, it is impossible to program a bot that follows mainly people who perceive it as a sincere follow-up.
Just as annoying as comment automation, pushy marketers (still and ever) program bots to track hundreds of accounts they do not personally know to grab people’s attention.
So do not be a pushy marketer yourself and do not automate comments or subscriptions.
In addition to making a wrong impression with most people you interact with, you probably be reported on Instagram as a “spam” account.
Ultimately, decrease the value of your brand over time.
Automate only “likes”
The only way to automate a useful Instagram bot without going for spam is to stick to automating “likes”.
Compared with comments or subscriptions, a “like” is only visible in people’s thread. Most of us do not tend to misperceive a “like” from a person we do not know.
Conversely, we are generally rather happy (or at worst indifferent) to the fact to get a like on one of our posts!
Most of us always check their notifications to see who likes our posts and discover new Instagram accounts.

How to program a Bot for Instagram efficiently on Instazood
Once you’ve created your Instazood account and connected your Instagram, here are the steps:
1. Set your goals
Start by defining your goals by clicking on the “+ Add Target” button.
This is where you will find the option to add target Instagram accounts with which your bot will interact.
It is here that it becomes important to have a clear and specific target audience.
Which Instagram account has the highest density of your target audience?
These are the accounts that should be your targets. The more you identify the right targets, the more effective your Bot for Instagram will be.
As an illustration, I take my Instagram account @macramxxxxx as an example. My target audience is women who are creative or passionate about macrame in the USA from 25 to 40 years old.
According to my research, Instagram accounts that have the highest density of followers that match these characteristics.
Here are my goals.
Add them all via the “+ Add Target” option.
Once you have added all your target accounts, they will appear at the bottom of the home screen.
2. Add your target hashtag
To do this, click the + Add Target button again.
Then click on the Hash-Tag tab:
Here, you’ll add the hashtags that have the highest density of posts in your target audience.
For the 25- to 40-year-old creators of macrame in the United States, these are;
The posts of the people who follow these accounts and the posts of the people who use these hashtags are what your bot will “like”.
3. Schedule your actions
Now that you have your goals, you need to program your bot and tell him how to behave when he “like” posts. To do this, click on the “Setting” button on the main page:
Find here the “Actions” tab. Modify its parameters for maximum efficiency with a minimum of spam potential by unchecking the “Follow + like” box. Then placing the “Max likes” option at 2:
This will allow your bot NOT to follow people. Give a maximum of 2 likes per account (2 likes better simulates the behaviour of a “human” account).
4. Apply filters
Now that you have your goals and have told your bot how to “like”, it’s time to give it some filters to decide who to “like”.
To do this, click on the “Filter” tab in the same “Settings” menu. Here you will find all your filter settings, modify them for maximum efficiency with a minimum of spam potential using the following parameters:
Check the “Check Gender” box, then select the gender of your target audience (if your target audience is gender-specific).
Then check “Use Unknow Gender”: this will allow your bot to be more specific in terms of people with whom he chooses to interact.
Select the “1-week” option in the “Media Age” setting: this means your bot will only like posts that were created the week before, which better simulates how people “like” posts.
Check the “Skipped used accounts” box: This means that your bot will not like the contents of the accounts it has already liked in the past. This will allow you to enjoy more tickets in general and not to replay accounts that did not follow you the first time your bot interacted with them.
Select “5000” for the “Max Followers” setting: This means that your bot will only like messages from people with 5000 followers or less.
People who have more followers tend not to check their feed since they have a lot of interactions.
Select “65” for the “Minimum post” parameter: this means that your bot will not like publications from accounts of less than 65 posts. People with fewer posts tend not to be as active on Instagram. They will see their notifications less often.
Select your target audience speaks English or any specific language in the “Select Languages” settings.
Check the “Skip 10% accounts” box: this means that the bot will randomly skip 10% of all accounts, miming more closely the behaviour of a human Instagram account.
Check the “Skip Private Users” box: this means that your bot will not interact with people with private accounts on Instagram. People with private accounts do not want their information to be public, and your interactions with them will only appear as spam.
Then, scroll down. Enter the words “click, bio, link, webcam, cam, gain, Snapchat, Kik, followers” in the box “Stop Words”: this means that your bot will not like accounts publications that have these words in their bio.
These specific words usually report accounts that are considered to be spam. Hence, you do not want to interact but feel free to add more or fewer words depending on your target audience.
The goal is to reduce the number of likes your Instagram follower bot will perform on accounts that may not find your account relevant.
Finally, SAVE the settings.
These goals, actions, and filter settings will help your bot be more likely to “like” messages from people who find your content engaging. Also, it shows your likes for organic (human) behaviour on Instagram.
5. Disable automatic comments and subscription
Last, but not least, scroll through the section of your goals on the main page and make sure you disable automatic comments and subscription for all your objectives.
This will ensure that your bot will only “like“. This is essential for not automating a spam bot (if you did not understand).
6. Start your Bot for Instagram!
Now you are ready to start your bot! Do it by clicking on the “Start All” button on the main page and let it work for you
Your bot is now loved publications based on the targets, actions and filters you have programmed, allowing your Instagram to be discovered by hundreds of new people every day.
7. Measure the effectiveness of your bot
To measure how efficiently you’ve programmed your robot, use the Instazood coverage and conversion data for each target.
Coverage refers to the number of interactions that it has made based on your filters and conversion means the success rate of converting followers from that goal.
For my @macramexxxx example, after one day of automation, the @modernmacrame account and the #macramemaker hashtag gave me the best conversions with 10.5% and 16.4% respectively:
Overall, I gained 112 subscribers in 24 hours, almost doubling my growth rate without the bot, which was about 50 subscribers per 24 hours.
8. Change the target and filters to improve your conversion rates over time
Instagram and the people who use it evolve. To continually improve the efficiency of your bot, be sure to search for new targets that generate high conversion rates continually.
The more goals you identify with high conversion rates, the more users will find your content interesting enough to follow your page.
Programming your bot well to find these people means ensuring continued growth in your account!
